Speaking Your Truth

First and foremost, GOD LOVES YOU!

Before I say another word, I want to tell you that God loves you more at this moment, right here and now, than ever before, and that YOU are special, unique and You are God’s child! He has loved you before you even knew there is a God. 1 John 4:19:

“We love because he [God] first loved us.”

Now you and I are going to do something fun that will help you get started in creating a new truth habit. I encourage you to write these following truths on a piece of paper, index card, post-it, whatever you have near you and put them in a place that will be close to you for the next 7 days so they’re easy to grab and speak!

First, speak out loud 7x:
“God loves me!”

I encourage you to say these words with a smile, with confidence in knowing and believing this is true, just as your heart takes a beat each second. The more you add emotions to your words, the more your memory will keep. So, let’s create your first new truth habit with “God Loves ME!”

Second, speak out loud 7x:
“I am forgiven and I am blessed!”

Here I encourage you to mix the emotions up a little bit. Along with your smile and your confidence, now add “matter of fact,” straight forwardness!

The more you speak your truth out loud, the more comfortable you’ll become in speaking God’s truth over all things in your life.

Third, speak out loud 7x:
“I am the righteousness in Christ who loves me!”

I encourage you to speak these words with confidence AND authority of who You are in Christ! I know your confidence in the truth of who You are is growing and that excites me!

One last note, speaking the truth of who you are in Christ Jesus may not always be easy. I know this because it wasn’t easy for me at first either. Truthfully, I still have difficulties at times, but God always reminds me of who I am and that speaking His truth over my life, OUTLOUD, is what makes the difference. It also sends the enemy fleeing for cover (a conversation for another time, but trust me, there is a spiritual enemy whose sole purpose is to steal, kill and destroy and his name is satan. I don’t capitalize his name so as not to give him any more power than he already has (when we give it to him)). John 10:10:

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy”

I challenge you for the next 7 days to speak these three truths each and every day. After those 7 days, I challenge you to speak these truths for another 7 days.
